Volunteers are the lifeline of our ministry. There are many areas where you can use your God-given talents to serve in our ministry. Below is a list of the span of volunteer opportunities we offer, ranging from direct contact with clients at Southwest Pregnancy Center to serving behind-the-scenes to support the general ministry of Living Choice. We invite those with a heart for our ministry to prayerfully consider joining our team.

General ministry volunteer needs

Church Liaison: Represent the ministry to your local church to encourage support for special events, needs, or concerns of the ministry. Specifically, liaisons serve as the point contact to the church for the annual Walk for Life, Fundraising banquet, and Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.

Prayer Partner: Pray for Staff, Volunteers and Board Members as well as for our clients and their children.

Fundraising & Special Events: Help organize and coordinate fundraising events including our annual Walk for Life, Fall Banquet, Baby Bottle Drive, and Hosting a Baby Shower.

Client Advocates: Each client advocate must commit to completing our in-depth training program and a weekly, four-hour clinic shift. Our client advocates provide information regarding abortion, adoption, and parenting to every client so they are fully informed and empowered to make a decision for their own future and the future of their child. Client advocates usually have the ability to follow up with clients after initial visits to offer further encouragement and support.

Nurses / Ultrasound Technicians (RDMS): We are in need of volunteer nurses to administer pregnancy tests and discuss the results with the client. The nurse also schedules follow up sonograms when needed. We also need volunteer ultrasound technicians or registered nurses trained in sonography to conduct limited obstetrical sonograms. We request a four-hour shift commitment per week.

Mentors: Mentors serve to encourage, uplift, support and give pregnancy and parenting education to clients one-on-one by developing a personal relationship to clients participating in our Earn While You Learn Program. Position requires training and a weekly, four-hour shift commitment.

Baby Boutique Volunteers: Help maintain the inventory, storage and collection of donated items in our baby room, where clients shop to provide for their babies.

Parenting /Childbirth Class Instructors: We are in need of English and Spanish speaking instructors to teach classes on a quarterly basis. Training provided.
